Support Grows as over $150,000 raised for congressional race. (5 Apr 2010)

Rogers Mayor and Republican Congressional Candidate Steve Womack announced today that his campaign has reached a new fundraising goal, collecting more than $150,000 in contributions for the 3rd Congressional District race.

“I am humbled and encouraged by the outpouring of support for my campaign,” Womack said. “I am blessed to have volunteers and supporters who believe in my ability to effectively represent the Third District and help take our country back to its basics where we allow our citizens to make choices for themselves, not the federal government.”

Since announcing his candidacy in February, Womack has visited with thousands of Arkansans. He has met with various groups and knocked on doors throughout the Third District with an emphasis on learning what's on the minds of Third District residents.

“Whether I’ve been in the River Valley, Harrison, Bella Vista and everywhere in between, I am hearing the same concerns,” Womack said. “People are worried about things like runaway taxes and spending, the weak economy and a political class in Washington that simply doesn’t listen to the people anymore. Our campaign for strong conservative leadership and reform in Washington is resonating with the people. I hear their concerns, and I’ll never forget them in Congress.”

Election Day is Tuesday, May 18, 2010. You can learn more about Steve Womack and his campaign by visiting www.womackforcongress.com.
