Womack Announces Re-Election Campaign

ROGERS, ARKANSAS - On Friday, Congressman Steve Womack officially announced his re-election bid for Arkansas’ Third District Congressional seat. He released the following statement upon announcement:

“Today, I am proud to announce my intention to seek a second term as the Representative of Arkansas’ Third District. Serving in Congress is a great honor and not a day goes by that I don’t think about the enormous responsibility trusted to me by one of America’s most dynamic and respected regions.

“After just over a year in office, it is clear to me the monumental challenges facing America—jobs and the economy, deficits and debt, regulation and taxes, and the security of our nation. I will continue to represent this district with integrity and courage, always mindful of the values and principles espoused by my constituents. I believe my record in Congress and the service rendered to our constituents is in keeping with the highest standards demanded by those I serve.”

Congressman Steve Womack was elected to represent Arkansas’s Third Congressional District in 2010 and sits on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee.

Prior to his election to Congress, Congressman Womack served as the Mayor of Rogers, Arkansas, for twelve years and in the Arkansas Army National Guard for over thirty years, retiring at the rank of Colonel.
