Womack Thrilled by Governor Pence's Selection as Vice Presidential Candidate

ROGERS, Ark. – Congressman Steve Womack today released the following statement after Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for President named Governor Mike Pence (R-IN) as his choice for Vice President:

“I can think of no better candidate for Vice President than Governor Mike Pence.   He is a bonafide conservative with the executive and congressional experience to well round out the Republican ticket.   I was proud to serve with Governor Pence in Congress, and I will be proud to serve with him again when he is sworn in as our 48th Vice President.”






Congressman Steve Womack was elected to represent Arkansas’s Third Congressional District in 2010 and sits on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee.

Prior to his election to Congress, Congressman Womack served as the Mayor of Rogers, Arkansas, for twelve years and in the Arkansas Army National Guard for over thirty years, retiring at the rank of Colonel.

Steve has been married to his wife, Terri, for over 31 years, and they have three sons, two grandsons, and a dog named Cooper. - Read More
